What was the highlight of Hotel The Designers Dongdaemun
It was ok but not without some serious problems.
The room was clean and very warm due to the floor heating as it was very cold outside.
The first room I was given was absolutely disgusting. Dirty sheets, dirty looking floor. It was the worst room I have ever seen! I went to the desk to complain and they just handed me a key to another room without a question. The new room was ok even if it looked a bit worn in places and the bath tub was a strange arrangement as you could not use the shower without water getting everywhere. There was a big problem with electrical outlets. There were only two in the room. The one above the desk looked so dangerous I did not want to touch it. The second one was loose on the wall but did work. However, it was too far from the bed for the phone charger lead to reach. I asked downstairs and happily they produced an extension cord. The design of the room was a little strange. It felt a little like a prison cell. The staff were welcoming and mostly nice. It was great to be able to leave the suitcase in the lobby for the afternoon of the check out.

The location is amazing for a tourist but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you like clean
The location. It is definitely the best if you want to visit many places all over seoul but that is all
The dirtyness. The room was old and in bad shape, the sheets had stains in them and so did the whole room. The staff barely spoke. I said I can do korean but they decided to just use hands and barely told me any information both during check in and check out. All I heard was sign please and bye. I dont recommend visiting
